Swedes have been prominent in the film industry and produced several successful Swedish Hollywood actors, such as Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Max von Sydow, Ann Margaret, Anita Ekberg, and Bibi Andersson. Swedish film directors have made internationally successful films, such as Ingmar Bergman.
Sweden has taken an interest in the fashion industry such as Hennes & Mauritz.
The 1973 oil crisis strengthened Sweden's commitment to decrease dependence on imported fossil fuels. Electricity from hydropower accounts for 44%, nuclear power for 47%. Biofuels produced 9% and wind power just 1%. Sweden is a net importer of electricity.
