What is computer translation memory?

This is the process whereby all translation material is stored for filtering and evaluation: phrases, sentences, expressions and terminologies are stored in the given language pair and when they reoccur in the same document or in another document (for the same client) then the computer flags the repeat. This, most important of all, helps underpin consistency in the translation and ensures that preferred terminology is adhered to. It also can help the translator to deliver slightly higher volumes per day.
