What is “translation only”?
“Translation-only” means that the source material sent by you will be assigned to a translator who will undertake the project and return it to us. There is no edit / check or proof reading and so no QA is involved. There can be no warranty by us. This is not an output on which you would rely if it is to be used by anybody outside your company or organisation.
Some clients prefer an “only translation” service where the document is for internal use or “an approximate understanding” is required. Whilst this does not meet the EU/UK standards, it is a less expensive approach and can be sufficient in some circumstances. Also, it speeds the turnaround process. However, a single stage translation will not be suitable for external use, publication etc. and certainly would not, if errors were discovered, absolve you from legal exposure in damages consequent thereto.
