Free translation

This is sometimes referred to as "machine translation" not the same as memory translation; the two should not be confused. Machine translation is the process by which a software programme will translate text from one language to another: Machine translation into English can produce some witty and amusing outcomes. Machine translation can be obtained on the web It is not (and is unlikely to become) more than a rough guide since the process is basically word-by-word. More generally a machine translation will give an idea of what the text is about in terms of subjects included rather than the meaning. It can be a worthwhile step, for example, for screening in-bound email in foreign languages, to check which merit further attention or translation

Freehand

An alternative to Illustrator, FreeHand is used for creative design, storyboarding, multi page document production, and editing with an unparalleled set of creative design tools.

Freelance translator

Freelance translators are sometimes referred to as professional translators : the terms are not exactly synonymous. The freelance translator works for himself/ herself and may be full time or part-time. Some work in their own name and others through a business name, maybe a limited company. With the advent of cheap web sites, it is often difficult to distinguish the one-man-band from the larger translation businesses. There are no required qualification standards to presenting oneself as a translator . Total Language Solutions works with the world s best freelance translators in terms of their qualifications and skills, experience and expertise both in translation and their fields of specialism. We select the translators and reviewers with skills and expertise which match the particular requirements of each piece of work, in terms of subject-matter, target audience etc.
